[UPDATED] This August we are incredibly excited to be welcoming Thiago Castanho to our Tasting Room for a book signing and collaborative dinner with our own Chef Jefferson Alvarez.
Currently residing in Belém, Brazil, Thiago Castanho is the Executive Chef of Remanso do Bosque. Surrounded by Amazonian jungle, Castanho creates a purely Brazilian tasting menu using innovative, contemporary, and indigenous techniques. Castanho shares similar values with Alvarez, and both strongly focus on local products.
Recently Castanho was noted for his incredible skill as #38 on Latin Americans 50 Best Restaurants, and also won the award for The One to Watch.
As one of the first retailers in Canada to sell his newly released cookbook, Brazilian Food, we will be hosting a book signing on August 11 between 4pm – 6pm.
This August 12 we will be housing a revolutionary Four Hands Dinner, featuring the collective work of Jefferson Alvarez and Thiago Castanho.
